Riley B King born 16 September 1925 an American blues singer, electric guitarist, songwriter – better known as B.B. King, he has defined the blues for a worldwide audience. Nicknamed the "King of the Blues" and considered one of the "Three Kings of the blues Guitar" along with Albert King and Freddie King. Born on a cotton plantation in Mississippi his interest in singing started at the local Church. In 1947, he hitchhiked to Memphis, TN, to pursue his music career and stayed with his cousin, fellow blues guitarist Bukka White
He played on the famous Beale Street for many years and got his break while playing on a local radio station. With many acolades including 7 Grammy's, he would tour the world sometimes playing 300 shows per year performing classics such as “Payin’ The Cost To Be The Boss,” “The Thrill Is Gone,” and How Blue Can You Get,” with his famous Gibson Guitar "Lucille".
